Our two attractive cottages are situated in our farm yard on a working family run farm.
They have been carefully converted from old stone stables dating from the 1700's.
Our farm is situated on the edge of a small peaceful village surrounded by pretty un spoilt countryside.
We are the fourth generat ion to farm at Lower Farm, though we know our family has farmed for over 300 years and have moved only 6 miles in that time.
We farm over 1,000 acres of arable land growing wheat, oilseed rape, beans and barley. We keep a flock of 800 sheep which we lamb in February and March.
We participate in the Countryside  Stewardship Scheme, which aims to protect wildlife habitats and maintain the natural beauty of the countryside. |
